As founder and Principal of @Group Consulting (incorporating @bookKeeper and @Risk Consulting) Marios Charles has extensive experience in the Finance and Risk Management industries.
Marios has over 25 years Finance and Risk Management industry experience, working for and with Australia's largest financial insitutions and also a variety of other commercial businesses and government agencies.
He is familiar to the needs of small business owners and focussed on producing and providing tailor made solutions. The approach used has always been to partner with clients and work toward a common goal. The client’s operational and financial success.

@Group Consulting is a provider of integrated financial and risk management consulting solutions.
The group commenced in 2007 as a risk management consulting business, with a clear aim on delivering risk services to the small and medium business market. The focus - keep it simple and assist the business to establish an appropriate risk assessment and management platform.
In 2014, we undertook a program of restructure with the addition of a new stream focussed on financial services which would be offered under a newly created bookkkeping business. @Group Consulting was established, incorporating @bookKeeper Consulting and @Risk Consulting.
Our Group believes that one size does NOT necessarily fit all, and often cost cutting business budgets do not allow for extravagance and over the top financial and risk systems. The requirement for financial management, risk assessment, mitigation policies and process and procedure systems is, however, vital but often unattainable by all businesses due to their significant costs.
Our Group has also established relationships in other supplementary service sectors to support our own subject matter expertise, and utilise these to benefit and enhance the delivery of services to our clientele.
@bookKeeper Consulting
All our @bookKeeper Consulting services are
conducted under an Off-Site model. We do not get
in the way of your business activities, and utilise our own resources to complete the required activities.
We are professionally accredited bookkeepers and maintain Professional Indemnity Insurance to support our activities and as required by the Taxation Practitioners Board.
We set up professional accounting systems for all your business needs and perform all our work under our off-site model, with free document pick up and delivery. We make sure you know where you stand.
@Risk Consulting
The @Risk Consulting approach involves working as a strategic partner to the business, focussed
on contributing to the success of the business. We expect that the business leadership management
team is actively and directly involved in the approach adopted for the risk management program and
associated strategies developed.
We work with the business to develop an appropriate solution by guiding the process, thereby ensuring that the costs that are borne are for the subject matter expertise we bring to the assignment, not administrative costs which would be duplicated within your own business structure. You already pay staff for administration, so we agree with you on the assignment of appropriate resources which will directly input to the project and complete and own the required knowledge transfers.
We target our consultative methods utilising our developed intellectual approach while paralleling to the ISO 31000 framework. This is achieved through a combination of workshops and interviews involving the participation of relevant staff and key stakeholders.

For every assignment our group undertakes, we provision a small amount which we attribute as part of our donations. It is our way of giving, even just a small amount, to those that need that little support. We hope our small support goes a long way to ease their troubles or bring that rare smile. There are many worhtwhile charities and causes, and we encourage all our clients to do what they can, but these are the ones close to our hearts.
